Muskoka Lakes STRA Licensing Update: What It Means for Cottage Owners & Airbnb Hosts

Since August, staff have been diligently working towards preparing STRA Licensing By-law processes, procedures and tools. Despite significant effort by staff, the township has recently been advised by GHC that the STRA application portal is still approximately 4-6 months from being operational. Planning Committee agenda item 13a proposes delaying Short Term Rental Accommodation (STRA) Licensing implementation until 2026.
